Your tegu doesn’t shouldn’t have a pond in its enclosure, only a shallow bowl large enough for most of its body to soak in. 100gal is not way to big for a hatchling tegu. It’ll be just fine set up with the proper husbandry. There's a few things to consider before putting any sort of water source in an enclosure.

Adults need an enclosure that’s at least 72 inches long, 36 inches wide, and 36 inches tall. That’s the bare minimum for a single mature tegu.
