i took my nclex pn on 1 july 2009 really scared because it stopped at 85 questions too, i have one friend who failed at 85 questions...really scared, checking texas bon to see if i passed but nothing so far. No news is good news i guess...never seen anything like that, i studied saunders and nclex pn icredibly easy.

I Passed with 85 questions. One thing I will say is I didn't get a lot of SATA questions, I had like less than 10 which worried me throughout the exam.You CAN fail in 85 questions (even if unlikely). I took the NCLEX today and I felt like I did okay. I used Kaplan and Simple Nursing to study and on all my CAT exams I got passing at 85 questions.
