East Bay and EDL are currently in that 11-13 inch range. The cold snap that is about to occur tonight through early next week should get us to that ‘driving ice’ depth. Typically, the early ice bite on Devils Lake is pretty good. The fish always seem to be in the same areas year in and year out at this time. The mid-section of winter can vary from year to year. This winter it has been extremely difficult to find a consistent bite day in and day out. A day here and there they have been a little tough, but for the most consistent bite, they have saved our butts on more than 1 occasion.
